Alaska auction market overview
Context for dealers sourcing wholesale inventory in Alaska.
Auction locations ~2–3 (primarily Anchorage) dealer/wholesale auctions
Major platforms Independent regional auctions
Primary hubs Anchorage
Transport note Most wholesale vehicles are shipped from the Pacific Northwest via RORO (roll-on/roll-off) from Seattle or Tacoma. Budget $800–1,500 per unit for ocean freight.
Title note Alaska titles are processed through the Anchorage DMV. Out-of-state titles from the lower 48 require normal transfer; allow extra time for remote office processing.

Dealer tip: Alaska's market is small enough that dealers often supplement local auction purchases with out-of-state buys shipped north. Factor total landed cost (purchase + freight + PDI) into your floor plan and pricing.
